The Role of a Speech-Language Pathologist
A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) supports children with autism by helping them develop the skills they need to communicate and connect with others. This may include building vocabulary, improving sentence structure, supporting speech clarity, or introducing alternative communication systems such as visuals or AAC devices. On our team, the SLP collaborates closely with families and other therapists to create strategies that make communication easier and more meaningful in everyday life. Their role is to ensure your child has a voice, feels understood, and can participate more fully at home, at school, and in the community.
